Nostalgia of the week has been missing for a few weeks and I'm sorry, I understand that it's a vital part of your lives and gives you clarity on a day to day basis.
Anyway enough chitter chatter, this weeks Nostalgia is Captain Planet, you know the fella that went round saving the world with his friends the planeteers! No, still don't remember, he's a brief history:

"Captain Planet was created by Ted Turner in 1990. The idea behind the series was to create an entertaining action program that was meant to make viewers aware of environmental hazards. The villains Captain Planet had to fight included Sly Sludge , Hoggish Breedly , Doctor Blight, Looten Plunder , Verminous Skumm, and Duke Nukem."

What the hell is going in Steiemark ,Austria, seriously, what are they playing at? Most prison scenes are depicted as scenes of grim misery, man-rape, porridge eating and cigarette trading. Evidently not in Austria, those super efficient Europeans have really taken it to another level and are making criminals around the world wish they'd committed their crimes in the fair city of Vienna. I for one know that if i was a tramp/bum that i'd be committing every crime possible to get into this Ikea-esque haven of glass. Anyway, have a look at the pics.

Thought I'd share with you all one of my very favourite street poets/writers/novelists, New York born and raised Livingroom Johnston is definately one of the coolest guys out their and it's good to see someone doing their own thing.

"Livingroom Johnston is one of my kind of peoples that are keeping New York real....
Cool-assed, conscious, experienced (streetwise), intelligent, resourceful, and most of all, respectful (when due) and humble. That goes a long way with me. Besides that, he dresses like a modern day Walt 'Clyde' Frazier and I like that."

This piece of online marketing in my eyes is absolutely brilliant. It takes user interaction to a whole new level and involves bloggers on a global scale, not only does it provide a reasonably nice Flash app, which tells the time and displays short bursts of video for individuals to use on their blog but it also means that Uniqlo need do very little online publicity. Uniqlo are offering the chance to win a G-Shock watch as an incentive for individuals to post this on their blog, it's received worldwide coverage and I've seen displayed on a lot of blogs already.

Go to http://www.uniqlo.jp/uniqlock/ to get yours.

This is by far and a way the best performance I've ever seen. The two French men that go by the name of Daft Punk absolutely rocked it with their, now infamous, pyramid of light. All the classics were played from 'Around the World' to 'Technologic' to 'One More Time'. Not only did they kill it with the musical performance but they also smashed with what is a truly unique visual spectacle.
Watch this to get a slight insight into what ranks as my favourite performance ever, ever.

This was made for MTV's latest global warming campaign called Switch. 6 various advertising agencies were invited to make videos for the campaign, the one above being my personal favourite.

For your viewing pleasure...

Now here is a worthy cause, Jack the 79 year old Tap Dancer.

"Ex Army Corporal Jack the Tap Dancer story is one of great heart ache and angst. Jack first started tap dancing when he was 8 years old but soon was unable to due to his Army service.

A few years ago Jack's wife tragically passed away, after 10 years of Jack caring for her and living with her alzheimer's. This sent poor Jack into a spiraling depression and the only way he sought solace was by dancing his sorrows away.

Today Jack is through to the last 24 of 'Britain's Got Talent' and he's got a very good chance of performing in front of the Queen at the Royal Variety Performance.

With our help we can make this man's dream come true and bring a smile back to this fallen war hero! Let's make it happen!"

This is an absolutely great idea and I guess it shows that some, yes only some, council workers have a sense of humour. This sort of borders on vandalism, guerilla art and a touch anti-corporate protest (not tied to a tree stylee). Anyway check out Glasgow council's latest effort against bill posters:

"Events promoted on illegal bill posters around Glasgow are getting the shaft since city workers who patrol the streets are slapping "cancelled" stickers on the banned ads. As part of the city's GBP100,000 per year project against illegal posting, the sticker tactics have proven to be an effective rogue measure, with clueless, huffy event and music fans irate over "cancelled" shows."

Over and out...

Saturday 9 June 2007

She was taken handcuffed and crying from her home. She was escorted into court disheveled, without makeup, hair askew and face red with tears.

Crying out for her mother when she was ordered back to jail, Paris Hilton's cool, glamorous image evaporated Friday as she gave the impression of a little girl lost in a merciless legal system.

"It's not right!" shouted the weeping Hilton. "Mom!" she called out to Kathy Hilton, who also was in tears.

The 26-year-old hotel heiress tried to move toward her parents but was firmly steered away by two sheriff's deputies, who held her by each arm and hustled her from the courtroom.

Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer was apparently unmoved by the pleas of Hilton's three lawyers to send her back to home confinement due to an unspecified medical condition. He ordered Hilton returned to a Los Angeles County jail to serve out the remainder of her 45-day sentence for violating probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case.

This sums it up.

This week the alley has seen some intense tramp based action, have a look. This weeks tramp has some how managed to change clothes a few times as well as making a cameo appearance late friday evening.

This weeks nostalgia is the cult classic 'Saved By the Bell', featuring classic characters as Screech, Zak, Kelly and Slater those crazy kids were never short of an adventure or two! As you may well know some of the characters shot to relative fame such as Kelly and Zak, the good looking ones! God, Hollywood is so superficial! Others, such as Screech were forced to flog home made sex tapes of himself entitled Screeched, aka Saved by the Smell!

This time round they're using their celebrity status to relay a very important message to their viewers.

We all remember the Steven Spielberg classic The Goonies, yes Steven Spielberg directed it, I can't believe it too, a far cry from Shidler's List and all that other serious malarky. Anyway if you've ever wondered what those adventurous little tykes look like now, to be honest the pics are from 2001 but you get the idea! Check it out: http://www.punkasspunk.com/goonies/

Chunk does the Truffle Shuffle!

Following the excessive hype around Kate Moss, it's good to see people taking a more light hearted view of this Cocaine sniffing, bad clothes designing, junkie dating fame whore..... That was a bit strong wasn't it? No, I'm sure she's very nice and all the bad things she does are probably due to depression over being poor and ugly....No, hang on, she's neither of those....I don't know, have a look at these pics and sent your opinions along with a stamped addressed
envelope.

Their has been an underground craze sweeping the streetwear scene in the last year or so, originating from couriers in Tokyo and New York these bikes have now become cult.

This video is a Macaframa SF promo.

I don't really know why I find this so captivating, I just do. Two of my favorite things combined.....

After the huge backlash for the new London 2012 Olympic logo, its good to see people have been chipping in with their own efforts.

This video is undoubtedly the best animation I've ever seen, it was made by the French loonatics over at the Supinfocom school of animation. I'm not entirely sure what the video is for, as their seems to be a fair bit of product placement such as Nike, Puma and Mountain Dew. Enjoy....you won't be dissapointed.

You lot better get yo ass' down to Notting Hill Arts Club on Thursday night for some early 90's nostalgia, battling it out will be the boys from Bape, Maharashi, Deal Real and others.....

If like me you've ever been to a Drum 'n' Bass rave and have ever wondered what the bleeding hell is going through some of the peoples minds then this may be bit of an insight. I warn this on no level, none what so ever, makes sense. As ever though it is quite enjoyable seeing a fully grown man dance in a nu rave-esque wearing what seems to be a penis t-shirt.

If your actually bothered then go to Penial Eye on BROADWICK ST to get some of this mad clobber.
